This week we conduct the annual business meeting required by our bylaws. We will elect new officers and board members for next year. (See related article in this newsletter.) Join us at noon at the country club for the last meeting of 2018!
This will also be the last Rotary Bulletin of 2018.
Last Week at Rotary
Last week was our traditional holiday luncheon, when Rotarians are encouraged to bring spouses, partners, children or other special guests to help Rotary Club of Great Falls celebrate the holiday season.
Every year Rotarian Dave Crum arranges for a high school musical group to entertain us at the luncheon and this year’s group was especially good, the select choir from C. M. Russell High School, the Russell Ayres. Thanks, Dave, for bringing such talent into our midst.
President Todd Neighbor emceed admirably and a good time was had by all!
Elections To Be Conducted at This Week's Meeting
The task of coordinating the election of new officers falls to our club’s immediate past president, which is Dean Boyle this year. Dean will present the following candidates for your consideration at this week's meeting. Additional nominations may be made from the floor.
Open Officer Positions
For Treasurer: Megan Connors
For President-Elect Nominee: Lacey Gallagher
Open Positions on the Board (Two Positions Total)
Joann Gogo
Bill Harp
Chayleen Person
Rob Rezek
Our bylaws do not allow for electronic voting at the annual meeting. You must attend the annual meeting to make additional nominations and/or to vote. Paper ballots will be provided for that purpose. Please join us for this important function of the membership.
Leading by Example
Last Saturday a variety of Rotarians donned red Salvation Army aprons, grabbed a bell and a kettle, and solicited donations for the Salvation Army at Smith’s and J.C. Penneys.
We have conducted this service activity for many years, and with the Salvation Army strapped for volunteers this year, our participation was especially appreciated.
Lacey Gallagher stepped in to organize the activity and extends her heartfelt thanks to all who participated. Service above self!
This week's "bulletin bucks" number is #141. If that is the number on the back of your Rotary button, you are the lucky winner of a $25 cash card. See Todd Neighbor to pick up your prize!
Milestones
Happy birthday on Thursday to Ken Munski and on the day after Christmas to Paul Gorsuch. Thanks for all you do to make a club so spectacular.
