To celebrate another successful Harvest Howl - and to debrief on how we can make the next one event more successful - all Rotarians are invited to the country club on Wednesday, Sept. 28, beginning at 5:30 p.m. We'll have a short business meeting focusing on what went right and what went wrong this year, followed by a celebration. MLCC is treating us to appetizers, and there will be a no-host bar as well. We'll be in the two rooms to the left as you go up the stairs.
Hope you can join us!
This Week at Rotary
This week we will welcome our new District Governor, Malinda Shafman, as she addresses the Great Falls club. Join us at noon at the country club!
Last Week at Rotary
Last week State Auditor Monica Lindeen gave us a complete overview of the benefits of Montana’s health insurance plan. It was an opportunity for Rotarians to learn more and get answers to questions about a topic of increasing concern throughout the state.
Monica conceded that there are improvements that need to be made, but she’s confident the appropriate legislation will be passed so that all Montanans can have the health insurance coverage they want.
Rotarians Are ... Everywhere!
One of the fringe benefits of being a Rotarian is that you are virtually assured of seeing someone you know - aka, a fellow Rotarian - at any community event you attend.
Whether it's Rick Evans at the Walk to End Alzheimer's Event yesterday, or these three (Lacey Gallagher, Mike Wier, and Amy Beames) at the Big Brothers Big Sisters fundraiser last week, or Susan Wolff and many, many more at the kickoff of the United Way campaign the week before, you're bound to find Rotarians actively involved around the community.
That's the thing about service above self: it's a faucet you can't turn off.
Milestones
Birthday greetings go out this week to Beth McFadden tomorrow, to Bill Bronson and Bill Harp on Thursday and to Michael Porter on Friday. May the next year of your lives be the best yet!
