Nicole Evans- Chief Curator & Director of Curatorial Affairs of Paris Gibson Square Museum of Art

This week we learned more about Nicole's position as chief curator. Objectives for her position include collections care and community investment, expanding the narrative and building understanding, connecting the past to the present, regional history and present day realities, and flexibility and applied knowledge.

We learned about her connection with the Smithsonian as a fellow and about the National Museum of the American Latino. The Molina Family Latino Gallery at the National Museum of American History is closed due to funding restrictions. She discussed that the exhibit is due to open next spring with an edited exhibit.
