Last week you should have received an invitation to our celebration of 100 years as a Rotary club. The event will be a social hour and banquet on the evening of Friday, March 4, at the country club. Attire is business/semi-formal. Cost is $50/attendee. Governor Steve Bullock has agreed to be our featured speaker.
Make your plans now to join us for this once-in-a-lifetime event!
This Week at Rotary
This week our fellow Rotarian Kathy Mora will bring us up to date on the Great Falls Public Library. Join us at noon at the country club!
Rotarians Are ... Real Troopers!
An impressive number of our fellow Rotarians are former Boy Scouts, and several continue to be involved in the organization. Particularly active is Aaron Weissman, who is pictured with his troop here at a recent City Commission meeting.
Aaron loves everything about scouting. Winter camping, summer rafting, the various training opportunities and service projects ... And he is certainly generous with his time in sharing his enthusiasm for the organization with the young men of our community.
Thanks for all you do, Aaron!
Kizer and the Rescue Mission in the News!
Fellow Rotarian Jim Kizer was once again in the news this week with the announcement that the Voegele family has made a significant donation to the Great Falls Rescue Mission. Realtor Jim Voegele has sold what we know as the Bighorn building on 5th Street and 2nd Avenue South to the mission at a discounted price and also donated $80,000 of the proceeds to the mission. His generosity honor his deceased brother, Lee Voegele, who had been an active supporter of the mission for many years.
Congratulations, Jim, and many thanks to the Voegele family!

Mike Rausch celebrates another birthday on Wednesday. Best wishes, Mike, for a happy and prosperous year!
Weekly Wisdom from MLK, Jr.
Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hatred; only love can do that.
The time is always right to do what is right.
The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.
Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, “What are you doing for others?”
We must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools.
