Alliance for Youth Executive Director Kristy Pontet-Stroop spoke at our March 24 meeting about the tremendous impact that organization has had on area children, teens, and families struggling with generational addiction, homelessness, and other issues.
The program ran in conjunction with Great Falls Public Schools for 32 years before branching out into their own building, the former Victory Church in 2019.
Today, Alliance for Youth serves roughly 200 kids a year with hot meals, laundry, showers and help with classwork. Parenting classes are also provided, complete with dinner and child care, all of it free of charge. Fun activities for families take place, and the program has spread to nine counties.
